Devkund, near Bhira in Raigad district, is a tall plunge waterfall that drops into a deep green pool at the meeting point of several streams that feed the Kundalika river. The trail from Patnus village runs about 6 km one way through dense Sahyadri forest, mostly flat with a few gentle climbs, taking two to three hours each way. It is beautiful but the plunge pool has strong currents, so entry is often restricted or banned during peak monsoon for safety - always check current forest-department rules before planning.
